Ikusi has renewed its contract with the Zaragoza Tramway Maintenance Joint Venture, in which Acciona Construcción and Matinsa have a stake. An infrastructure that began operating in 2011 and with which Ikusi has maintained a close business relationship since it deployed the ticketing systems, within an alliance that also implemented the passenger information, people counting and operating assistance systems.
Among the new features of the system implemented by Ikusi is a contactless card recharging and issuing system. The system allows travel with the streetcar’s own card and with the Zaragoza Integrated Citizen Card. All this, with the complexity of integrating a streetcar that runs through one of the most monumental cities in Spain.
